I’ve breathed digital marketing for longer than I’ve known that’s what I was doing. The power that social media, good writing, and images on a screen took a hold of me at a young age. My first website came out when I was 11 years old, filled with my embedded links of my favorite YouTube videos that I’d probably be ashamed to rewatch.
In high school, I decided I wanted to be Twitter famous and casually amassed about 8,000 followers on an account I’ve since deleted. On my personal Twitter, I posting more than anyone wanted me to.
As I grew older, I started taking online publishing more seriously. My friends and I started a blog together as a freshman, and we 3 times a week every week for months on end. I had the oppurtonity to serve as the Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Beacon in college, which meant managing our website, posting on social media, and writing to my first large audience.
Last year, I graduated from the UT where I majored in Journalism and Electronic Media and minored in Political Science.
Before becoming Editor-in-Chief, I was Assistant News Editor, News Editor, and a writer. I covered many different topics ranging from protests, tennis, prostitution, elections, debates, homeless dog mushers, and more.
