Join Alex in celebrating #GivingTuesday with charity: water

Listen, I get it. We’re both tired of people asking for things online.

Between used clothes, random lotion, and some truck nobody wants, our social media feed can get exhausting. That’s why the only reason I’m asking you to support charity: water is because it matters to me.

If you know me, you know I drink way more water than necessary every day — a few extra quarts past the 8 glass mark. I almost always have a water bottle, and I’ll be caught dead before you see me drinking an entire soda.

Hydration is basically a personality trait for me.

That’s why it pains me to hear that 1 out of every 10 people lacks access to clean water. Real people with real families are dying from dehydration and diseases found in water.

Enter charity: water.

charity: water is a non-profit bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in areas that lack it. Over the last decade, they’ve funded more than 29,000 water projects in 26 countries.

Our help will push them towards the goal of bringing safe drinking water to more than 8 million people.

There are simple solutions, from deep drilled wells to water filtration systems. And with the help of more than 1 million donors and individual fundraisers, we’re forming a strong force against the water crisis.

Every dollar will help us move towards having clean water throughout the world.

If you can drop a $5 or a $20, you can make a difference.

You can donate through this Facebook post.

Thanks for reading. This article is a bit off topic from usual blog content, but we’ll break down how this online fundraising campaign does in a future blog.
